Motel Mexicola is deliriously good fun. The space is an explosion of colour — painted skulls, neon signs, tropical plants dripping from every surface, and staff in elaborate Mexican festival outfits. The frozen margaritas are the best in Bali (try the tamarind or passion fruit varieties). The tacos are legitimately excellent. A DJ is usually playing from 7pm onwards, and by 10pm the outdoor dance floor fills up completely. The place runs at maximum energy until closing. Despite the chaos, the service is fast and friendly.
